Knowledge Quest Alternative School (KQAS)
Knowledge Quest Alternative School (KQAS) - A traditional Alternative School model which is teacher driven and looks like a traditional school day. Teachers and staff are employed by KQAS and the day runs anywhere from 330 to 420 minutes. All components of our proprietary curriculum to include behavioral management are implemented.

Knowledge Quest Alternative School Management Strategy
The Knowledge Quest Alternative School Leadership Team is charged with the responsibility to follow key program elements developed from National Alternative Education Association Standards:
- Strong emphasis on site-based leadership within the constraints of the Knowledge Quest model.
- Data-driven management supported by a proprietary student record and reporting system – KQAD reporting.
- Deliver rigorous curriculum designed for an open entry/exit school environment focused on appropriate grade level learning gains and high stakes DOE testing preparation.
- Defined quantitative quality control system to measure program commitment to Excellence and Effectiveness in terms of student achievement, professional business simulation and Academy school management (daily professional dress - staff and student).
- School environment that values the parent and student customer (emphasized involvement from enrollment to transition).
- Transition of students and aftercare support upon return to zoned/sending school.
- Cost effectiveness based on efficient and results-oriented service model.
Our Goals and Commitment to Effectiveness:
- Provide a “Change Agent” system for the recovery of dropouts and re-entry from expulsion for middle and high school students.
- Through the learning community design, students will exhibit a stronger desire to attend and be involved in school and achieve an average daily attendance rate at or above 80%.
- Implement Social Intelligence skills development programs that will improve behavior as measured in a Pre and Post assessment school comparison.
- Knowledge Quest will achieve the following level of individual student performance.

- Reduced school-based critical incidents
- Decrease in referral history
- Demonstrate positive home life impact
- Deliver a comprehensive educational program in which students are motivated and able to attain high school credits or complete middle school required courses.
- Knowledge Quest will meet or exceed the following set criterion of performance:

- Operate an effective 12-month AFTERCARE system to provide continued support to students transitioning back to their zoned/sending school (implemented second year of program).
- Knowledge Quest will meet or exceed the following defined criterion of performance for the average student served:
